I recommend that you arrive 45-60 minutes before this park opening. Do not visit DCA on an Extra Magic Hour day, unless you are staying at a Disney resort, you'll be on hour behind all the other guests and you'll experience longer waits all day. After going through the turnstiles, make your way all the way to the LEFT of the rope, so you can head towards Cars Land.
